How Southern Recipes Sprang From Necessity

As you're driving along Hwy 20 in Conyers, you are likely to pass the new Target shopping center. This shopping center, named Conyers Crossings, holds something much better than the Target and Ross stores. Hidden at one side of the parking lot is a great restaurant that you're liable to smell before you see. The smell alone is more than enough to invite you in to have a bite to eat at Jim 'N Nick's Bar-B-Q.


I dug into my fries and coleslaw first, which were decent but nothing really spectacular. My pioneer woman pulled pork had some really nice lean meat and did not cinch on the portion. Still, the meat itself could've used some kind of sauce, as it was a bit dry.

I make it a point what to cook in my slow cooker always order the local low country favorite known as "She Crab Soup". The soup is akin to crab bisque as it inherits the sweet taste of crab meat and sherry.
